Whether it be a DSLR, 35mm, or oil paint, I’m well-versed in fine art tools and the techniques to wield them. My artistic eye was curated through a Dartmouth College education and refined by years of experience.

1,089 (3 Years after Eric Garner).png

1,089 … 1,583

A social commentary installation focused on the effects of police brutality. Three years after Eric Garner was murdered in 2014, at least 1,089 more black people were killed by police.

Each of these bodies, as well as the dark figure of the unaccounted for, is represented by a pixel marked with I can't breathe— Eric Garner AND George Floyd’s dying words.

Between May 15 - June 17, 2018, the 1,089 installation was displayed in the Dartmouth College Jaffe-Friede Gallery for the "Senior Majors Exhibition.” (Dimensions: 6 feet tall x 4 feet wide x 2.5 inches thick)

In 2019, Pod Save the People featured 1,089 on Twitter, now X.

In June 2020, the United States mourned again after the death of George Floyd. I revisited this artwork and updated the dismal tally to at least 1,583 black people killed by police.
